About Us
ACT, LEARN, REMEMBER, EXCEL- Those are the words of the Cre-Act School.
A unique learning center, the Franciscan Cre-Act Elementary School is operated by the Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist. It is interdenominational, non-profit and places a strong emphasis on the visual and performing arts, with a focus on learned creativity.

The Franciscan Cre-Act School is a small, independent private school which offers an arts-enriched education to Pocatello area children in pre-kindergarten through grade 6.

  • It provides an integrated academic curriculum including reading and the language arts, math, science, history, geography, and computer skills. A religious education program broad enough to engage children of all faiths is offered.

Sister Dorothy Prokes, FSE, Ph.D., foundress of Creative Acting (Cre-Act) and the Franciscan Cre-Act School, Pocatello, Idaho.

  • Sister Dorothy, known nationally for her creative, pioneer efforts of using creative dramatics as a mode of education, holds a doctorate degree from New York University. She anticipates the publication of her new book about the Cre-Act method soon.
