Why Cre-Act

Why Cre-Act is unique…

#Creative drama is the primary artistic medium and reference for the way our students learn. Students are encouraged to develop their individual interests and skills, yet are required to engage in them in a group context, just as the actor’s unique expressiveness must serve the performance as a whole.

#Classes are organized into multi-aged groups in which students progress at their own pace, whether doing advanced work or “catching up.” Students interact daily with others of different ages in a variety of social and academic settings.

# Instructors teach in their areas of expertise. Students in Grades 1 through 6 move among classrooms and experience a variety of classroom environments and teachers each day.

# Instructors teach students for a period of years, allowing them to tailor instruction to the students’ long term benefit.

# Each day begins with a Morning Assembly in which students discuss the incorporation of spiritual and curricular themes into everyday life.

# Parents are strongly encouraged to be involved in all aspects of their child’s education.

As technology expands its scope, there is a greater need for artists, dramatists and musicians to develop the human and aesthetic aspects of life.  Quality education requires a more creative environment, better curriculum designs and time to develop resources, ideas and means of experimentation.
